I particularly like your use of the term "colour-conscious" as an alternative to "colour-blind" casting. We need more minority writers, producers, directors established so that these issues with casting just cant exist anymore by way of an organic process. That is going to be a LONG process. In the meantime, voices and opinions like yours are brilliant to challenge the decision-makers and get this sensitive issue debated about in the open.
